2008 Historic Triangle Neighborhoods Conference

Mission:

Provide an opportunity for neighborhoods to strengthen the Historic Triangle community.

 

Goals:

 

The 2008 Historic Triangle Neighborhoods Conference, “Monumental Possibilities:  Capitalizing on Collaboration,” is to be held at Warhill High School in James City County on October 10th and 11th, 2008. Hundreds of citizens from James City County, York County and the City of Williamsburg will unite to learn how they can take an active role in enriching our community.

 

Conference at a Glance:

Keynote speaker Philip Gulley, author of several books including “Front Porch Tales, will kick off the conference on Friday evening. A networking dinner and the 2008 Neighborhood Awards will also be presented. On Saturday, interactive workshops will move participants through exercises in leadership, neighborhood building, youth/adult partnerships, asset mapping and community problem solving. Children in kindergarten through fifth grade will attend a civic engagement track.


Participants can also browse the many booths with exhibitors from neighborhoods, agencies and local business.


 Don’t miss this opportunity to network with neighborhood leaders, youth, non-profit and government staff in our community.
