Top 5 reasons to register today for neighborhoods conference!
The 2008 Historic Triangle Neighborhoods Conference will offer fun learning and sharing opportunities for everyone in your neighborhood. Check out the reasons why you should register today.
1. Everyone likes to have fun! This conference will be different from your
ordinary conference in the aspect that participants will not move from workshop to workshop, but instead will form make-believe neighborhoods composed of different animals. It’s a fun, unique concept aimed to allow participants to look beyond typecasts. Each eclectic “neighborhood” will pool its strengths to help meet the needs of its make-believe neighborhood.
2. It’s the neighborly thing to do! Get a group together from your neighborhood or ask your friends from York County and the City of Williamsburg to meet you there.
3. Network, network, network! You can learn about neighboring businesses, organizations and meet folks from other Historic Triangle neighborhoods.
4. Celebrate neighborhood work! Discover the unsung heroes who are out there doing good deeds for their communities as the awards are presented on Friday evening.
5. It’s free! The conference is free to Historic Triangle residents and will include lots of good food, a conference T-shirt, conference materials and door prizes. All school-aged children are welcome to participate too!
